BGA – Billy Gallagher and Associates– was founded by the late Chef Billy Gallagher, one of the most respected figures in the global hospitality and culinary world. A pioneer, leader, and mentor, Chef Billy dedicated his life to raising the standards of hospitality in South Africa and beyond.
His leadership roles with Southern Sun Hotels, SA Chefs (where he served as President for 27 years), and the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs) laid the foundation for what BGA stands for today:
Excellence, Mentorship, Transformation, and Innovation.
BGA was established to continue that legacy — providing strategic guidance, training, project management, and support across the hospitality, tourism, education, and events industries.
